Конспект урока для 11 класса «Participle I»

Урок по теме: «Participle I» в 11 классе по учебнику К. Кауфман «Happy English. RU».

Цель: формирование грамматических навыков учащихся в употреблении Participle I.

Задачи урока:

Образовательная: систематизация и активизация в речи, аудировании, чтении, письме материала по теме причастие настоящего времени.

Развивающая:

  1. Развитие умений систематизировать, обобщать;

  2. Развитие творческих способностей учащихся, воображения;

  3. Совершенствовать грамматические навыки в различных видах деятельности — говорение, чтение, письмо, аудирование.

Воспитательная:

  1. Знакомство учащихся с программой по подготовке к поступлению в вуз в Великобритании;

  2. Формирование познавательного интереса.

Тип урока:

Совершенствование грамматических навыков по теме «Причастие настоящего времени» в различных видах деятельности.

Оборудование:

Проектор и компьютер (для слайдовой презентации), карточки. учебник, рабочая тетрадь.

Ход урока:

  1. Оргмомент:

Good morning boys and girs! Good morning our guests! We are glad to see you today here. Today we want to speak about our actions in present and Participle I helps us in it.

  1. Presentation ( slide 1-2)

Slide 1 Participle I – is a non-finite form of the verb which has verbal, adjectival and adverbial properties. There are two participles in English – Present Participle (Participle I), Past participle (Participle II).

Present Participle (Participle I) is formed by adding the ending – ing to the infinitive without the participle to

  1. Participle helps us to describe people’s actions. ( presentation slides 3-13)

Now look at the board and try to guess what are these people doing?

  1. Let’s training our grammar skills and do some exercises.

  1. Work book exercise 1 page 25 (translate into English) — CARDS

  • Слушая музыку –(listening to music)

  1. Work book exercise 2 page 25 ( use Participle I and complete the sentences)

  1. (Look) at the her friend, she realized that she had forgotten something important.

  2. (Be) a perfectionist, Derek always tried hard to get the highest grades.

  3. The girl (look) for the job. Please be nice to her.

  4. The (laugh) woman near the window is a well-known writer.

  5. My parents (watch) their favorite film, were angry when I interrupted them.

  6. (Work) in the outskirts of a big city, he needed a car.

  7. Jim broke his leg (ski).

  8. Ann ran to her parents (cry) for help.

  9. Jane was cleaning the floor (smile) to herself.

  1. Now open your books page 53and look at exercise 2 complete the sentences with these expressions containing Participle I

  2. Student book exercise 3 page 53 (change the verbs in brackets to Participle I). Agree or disagree with these statements. Give your reasons.

  1. (Know) the right answer, one should answer as quickly as possible.

  2. (Smile) people make friends easily.

  3. Students (graduate) from our local university return to schools as teachers.

  4. People (watch) soap operas are wasting their time.

  5. (Come) to a new class, one has to learn and follow all the unwritten rules.

  1. Now look at exercise 6 page 54 ( listening to the words and expressions and repeat them after the speaker)

  1. Now look at exercise 5 page 54 (There is a new message on the Camp Pineland website. Listen to the message and answer these questions)

  1. Who recommended Natasha to write to this website?

  2. Why did Natasha write?

  3. What information does Natasha need?

  4. Why does she need this information?

  1. Relax minute(slide 14)

  1. Now look at exercise 7 page 54(return to Natasha’s problems, and find in the text Participle I)

  2. Now look at exercise 8 page 57(look through the message and comments and find the equivalents for these phases)
