Пояснительная записка к уроку английского языка

в 5 классе по теме «Путешествие в Лондон»

Современный урок требует совершенно иной организации учебной деятельности обучающихся. Вместо когнитивной парадигмы обучения применяется так называемая компетентностная парадигма, которая предполагает формирование у обучающихся ключевых предметных компетенций. Учитель должен «научить детей учиться», то есть самостоятельно добывать знания. А для этого необходимо активизировать познавательную деятельность школьников, применяя различные активные методы обучения. Именно на такую работу с обучающимися нацеливает системно-деятельностное обучение, в формате которого составлен мой урок по теме «Путешествие в Лондон»».

ХОД УРОКА

I. Организационный момент (подготовка учащихся к работе на уроке; мотивация на успех учебной деятельности, создание благоприятной атмосферы на занятии):

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! I am happy to see you. And you? Are you happy?(Дети поют песню “If you are happy”) (слайд 1)

Today we’ll have a very interesting competition.

What do you think the theme of our lesson is? Have you ever been to London? Would you like to visit London? What places of interest do you know in London?

Yes, you are right. The topic of our competition is “Welcome to London”(слайд 2). First we shall train our tongues, after that we’ll review London’s places of interest. You’ll have different tasks. And, what are you going to do at the lesson?(слайд 3)

– I am going to improve my pronunciation.

1. You can see it from the river Thames. It’s very old. This place has a long and cruel history. It isn’t just one building. It has a history of blood – the blood of men, women and children. Now the Kings and the Queens of Britain don’t live there. (the Tower of London) (слайд 10)

(слайд 11) 2. It’s the place where British kings and queens live when they are in London. When the Queen is inside you can see the flag over it. Important visitors often go to this place. 6. Teacher: Now we are in London. Let’s imagine that you are tourist agents. It’s time to advertise to our guests your tourist projects. Today we have two projects: «A day in London» (слайд 23)and «Beautiful London». (слайд 23)Let’s begin and I wish you good luck.

A DAY IN LONDON(слайд 24)

P1: You are welcome to London. As you know, London stands on the river Thames. London, the capital of Great Britain, is very old city. It is 2 thousand years old. Now London is a big port and a beautiful city with large squares and parks. About 7 million people live here.

P2: We start our tour from Tower Bridge. Tower Bridge is near the Tower of London. It is one of the most famous bridges in the city and first opened in 1894. (слайд 25)

P3: On the right bank of the river bank Thames you can see the Tower of London. Tower of London is a very old building. At the beginning the English kings live here. Then it was a prison. Now it is a museum and 2 million people visit it every year. You can visit the Bloody Tower and the White Tower. (слайд 26-27)

P4: Westminster Abbey is more than 9 hundred years old and is a very famous London church. The coronation of all British Kings and Queens takes place there. (слайд 28)

P5: The Houses of Parliament are near Westminster Abbey. This is the home of the British Government. The large clock in one of the towers is Big Ben. (слайд 29)

P6,7: Big Ben is really a bell. You can hear the sound of Big Ben every hour. The clock and the bell got their names after Sir Benjamin Hall. He was a tall man, whose nickname was Big Ben. So people know the clock as Big Ben.

P8: Trafalgar Square is in the centre of London. It is the most beautiful place in London. In the middle of the square there is a monument to Admiral Nelson. Four bronze lions look at the square from the monument. (слайд 31)

P9: Now we are at Buckingham Palace. It is the London home of the Queen. If you see the Queen’s flag above the building, you will know she is staying at the palace. The ceremony of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is a great tourist attraction. (слайд 32-33)

P10: Dear guests! You can’t see London’s places of interest in one visit. But you can come back again…again…and again. (слайд 34)

London is always ready to say, “Hello! Nice to see you!” (хором).

BEAUTIFUL LONDON(слайд 35)

P1: Dear guests! Every year many people come from different countries to visit London. They go to the theatres, museums, they look at interesting old buildings, they sit or walk in the parks. Yes, London is a big and beautiful city with lots to see and do.

P2: The largest park in London is Hyde Park. It is one of the most popular places of Londoners on hot summer days. Hyde Park is famous for its Speaker’s Corner. There are many other pleasant parks and green squares there too. You can hire a boat. (слайд 36)

P3: Regent’s Park is the home of London Zoo. The zoo has thousands of birds and animals from all over the world. There is also the theatre in the park. (слайд 38)

P4: Meet Madame Tussauds. This is the famous Waxworks Museum has models of famous people from pop stars to prime ministers, displays of battles and Chamber of Horror. (слайд 39-40-41)

P5: The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a very attractive place. You can see many photos of different Sherlock Holmes here. Holmes’s room is very small, but cosy. You can buy lovely souvenirs here. (слайд 42)

P6: There are many shops in London. The main shopping centre is Oxford Street. Many people from different countries shop in Oxford Street. You can buy clothes, shoes and toys in it. (слайд 43)

P7: If you want to see the famous building in London, you will take a ride on the London Eye. This is the big wheel. From here you get wonderful views of the city. (слайд 44)
