Цель: Коммуникативная: введение нового лексического материала по теме «Части туловища животных», формирование и совершенствование лексических навыков чтения.

Воспитательная: воспитание положительного отношения к изучаемому языку.

Развивающая: развитие языковой догадки, внимания, мышления, памяти.

Образовательная: расширение общего кругозора по данной теме.

УМК: English VII Афанасьева и Михеева с угл. изуч. англ. яз.

We’ve revised the words. But now let’s check their spelling. Look at the board.

All the words on the blackboard describe speaking. Put in the missing letters and get the list of “speaking” verbs. Let’s do it in chain.

Did someone read it or watch the film?


Open your books at page 129.

Below you can read an extract from the book Matilda. It’s a dialogue between a schoolboy, Nigel, and a terrible schoolteacher, Miss Trenchbull.


At first look at the screen.


There are some words that you may not know. Listen, repeat after me and try to guess their meaning.

Now read the text but don’t pay attention to the missing words. Then answer the question “What did Miss Trenchbull want Nigel to say?”

Now say which of these animals have paws?

Which of them have hooves?


Right.


And which of them have feet?


Right


Let’s describe the animal using this scheme. (Screen)


For example, listen to me. I’ll describe a bear.

This is a bear. The bear is big. It has brown fur. It has 4 short legs. At the end of each leg the bear has a paw. Paws have strong curved claws. Its neck is short.


And now describe each of the animals in chain.
