« It’s a Big World! Start Travelling Now! »

( по учебнику М.З. Биболетовой «Enjoy English» 9класс к конкурсу «Учитель года 2009»)

Подтема урока: «We Are in a Global Village».

Цель: контроль реальных знаний учащихся, лексико-грамматических навыков по теме.

Задачи:

а) практическая: систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме на основе знакомого лексического и грамматического материала;

б) образовательная: формировать у учащихся учебно-познавательные компетенции, интерес к культуре народов англоязычных стран, расширять их кругозор;

в) воспитательная: создать положительную мотивацию к дальнейшему изучению языка, воспитывать у учащихся уважение к родной культуре

г) развивающая: развивать у учащихся память, внимание, логическое мышление, тренировать умение вероятностного прогнозирования, развивать умения и навыки аудирования с извлечением необходимой информации.

д) здоровьесберегающая: создание благоприятной атмосферы на уроке, смена деятельности учащихся, проведение физкультминутки.

Оснащение урока: презентация достопримечательностей США в Power Point, ЦОР (цифровой образовательный ресурс «Listen+Read+Learn»), учебные карточки с новой лексикой для проведения аудирования), смайлики для оценивания выполнения заданий.

Ход урока.

1.Организационный момент.

Hello, guys! It’s a pleasure to meet you. Let me introduce myself. My name is Olga Leonidovna and I’m an English teacher of secondary school #2. Today I’ll be your teacher. Let’s look at the blackboard and read the topic of our lesson. I know you have your home task. Can you tell me what it was? (Pupils: Our home task was to remember all the material about English speaking countries, some sights and grammar). O.K. Let’s begin.

2.Знакомство с учителем и фонетическая зарядка. I’m a new person for you. Let me say a few words about myself. Last spring I won a competition and the main prize was the trip to the USA. Now I would like to show you some sights of America and you will try to remember everything you know about them. During our lesson I’ll give you these funny faces for your right answers and activity, those who have 5 smiles will be given excellent marks. I’ll begin the sentences and you will continue them using your knowledge.

-The White House reminds me of…

-The Statue of liberty is…

-When I think of the Capitol…

-The main sight of Washington DC is…

-Lincoln Memorial…

3. Презентация нового материала в Power point. Учитель рассказывает о некоторых достопримечательностях Америки: the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis, Chicago, the Smithsonian Museum in Washington.

During my stay in the USA I visited 2 states-Indiana and Illinois. In Indiana we visited a famous museum the Children’s Museum. Everything we saw there was a great surprise for us because all the exhibits there were devoted to children. Here you can see very interesting and funny exhibits. Children can play with funny robots and dolls; they can get a lot of information by touching sensor screens. It’s allowed to touch every exhibit and it’s very unusual for our museums. In Illinois we were greatly impressed by skyscrapers (but the Americans call them “high risers”. You can see here the view of the state from the highest tower The Sears Tower. And of course the main sight of Chicago is Chicago’s Bean. It reflects the skyscrapers of the city and has a very unusual form. In Washington D.C. we visited some museums. The most famous among them was The Smithsonian Museum. Tourists can see there sections devoted to different cultures and peoples: the Indians, the Ancient Americans, and the Africans etc. Here you can learn about their traditions, way of life, history& so on.

And now maybe you have some questions for me, you want to know something about me. (Ученики задают вопросы).

4. Аудирование материала о Музее Шпионов в Вашингтоне.

My dear friends, I’m sure you know a lot of things about Washington D.C.and now I want you to learn some more information about its sights. Would you like to know about one interesting museum? It’s the Spy museum.

Работа с ЦОР начинается с презентации новой лексики. Для этого учитель раздаёт карточки с новыми словами по теме.

I’ll give these cards for you to understand the information better. Let’s practice using these words.

—Try to guess which words are verbs. (один ученик выполняет задание на компьютере, остальные работают с карточками на местах, можно использовать форму соревнования кто первым справится с заданием и оценить смайликом). Слова на карточках: convict, consider, equipment, execute, government, hero, piece, pistol, profit, share, spy, treason.

—Find the right equivalent. (Ученикам раздаются карточки с заданием, и даётся время на выполнение задания-2 мин., после чего учитель сам проверяет выполнение).

—Fill in the right variant. ( Ученикам раздаются карточки, 2минуты на выбор подходящего варианта слова).

—Listening. Before you are going to listen to the text look at the questions: 1. Where is the location of the museum? 2. What is the museum devoted to? 3. Which museum exhibits are the most popular? (идёт прослушивание 1 части текста, после чего учащиеся отвечают на вопросы).

—Проведение физкультминутки. I think you are a little bit tired. Let’s see what a real spy need for his work to be successful. (good memory, concentration and of course good eyesight) Let’s exercise our eyes: draw a circle with your eyes, blink your eyes, and look at the ceiling and then to the floor without moving your eyes).

-Now listen to the text for the second time and be ready to answer the following questions: (вопросы на экране компьютера и в карточках у каждого ученика) 1.What is the name of the museum? 2. What is the name of the reporter? 3. A spy may be considered guilty of treason in one country but people in another country may think of him as… 4. How long do visitors have to wait before they get to the museum? 5. Which exhibit wasn’t mentioned in the report? 6. What thing looks like a package of cigarettes?

(Идёт вторичное прослушивание текста, даётся время на выполнение теста, после чего проверка)

• Now let’s read the text and find the right word. (На экране компьютера выводится текст прослушанного, и дети выбирают подходящую форму глагола).

• Let’s listen to the second part of the report and try to guess if the sentences are true, false or irrelevant. (Перед прослушиванием дети делают прогнозирование, а потом проверяют свои предположения).

• Now let’s find the odd word out. (Поиск лишних слов в предложении в форме игры: детям даются предложения, где могут быть лишние слова, дети по очереди или парами зачёркивают их, потом проверка на компьютере).

• Well, children, now you are ready to discuss the following questions:

1. What world famous museums do you know?

2. Which Russian museums are known all over the world?

3. Which museum would you like to visit? Which exhibits of this museum attract you?

4. Do you know any Russian spies?

5. Advertise some unusual (imaginary) museums to your friends.

6. Дача домашнего задания. Your home task will be as follows:

-Speak about any museum in Russia.

-Speak about your own museum you would like to advertise.

7. Подведение итогов урока.
