Jack and His Friends

Звучит мелодия из мультфильма «Бременские музыканты» («Ничего на свете лучше нету…» (минус)).

Author: Once upon a time there was a boy whose name was Jack. One day Jack set out to seek his fortune.

He hadn’t gone very far when he met a cat. (Джек идет, на плече палка, на конце которой висит узелок, и встречает кота.)

Cat: Good morning, Jack. Where are you going?

Jack: I’m going to seek my fortune.

Cat: May I go with you?

Jack: Yes, if you like.

Author: So Jack and the cat went on. They hadn’t gone very far when they met a dog.

Dog: Oh, good morning, Jack. Where are you going?

Jack: I’m going to seek my fortune.

Dog: May I go too?

Jack: Yes, certainly.

Author: So they went on. Soon they met a cow and a goat.

Cow: Hello, Jack!

Goat: Where are you going?

Jack: I’m going to seek my fortune.

Cow and goat (together): May we go with you?

Jack: Certainly, you may.

Author: So they went on. They hadn’t gone very far when they met a cock.

Cock: Good morning, Jack. Where are you going?

Jack: I’m going to seek my fortune.

Cock: May I go with you?

Jack: Certainly.

Author: They walked and walked until it got dark but they couldn’t find a place to spend the night. At last

they came to a house. Jack peeped through the window and saw some people round a table.

(Разбойники сидят за столом и делят деньги и драгоценности, каждый к себе придвигает кучки денег и драгоценностей и произносит “My!”, “My!”. Они исполняют песню на мелодию «Говорят мы бяки-буки…»).

We are robbers, we are killers.

People are afraid of us.

Give your things and give your money.

We like gold very much.

(Затем со словами “O—la—la, o—la—la” они исполняют танец под эту же мелодию).

Jack: Robbers! Now, when I say “Go!” make as much noise as you can, and we’ll frighten them away…

Go!

Cat: Miaow! Miaow!

Dog: Woof! Woof!

Cow: Moo-o! Moo-o!

Goat: Me-e-e! Me-e-e!

Cock: Cock-a-doodle-doo! Cock-a-doodle-doo!

Author: Such a dreadful noise frightened the robbers and they all ran away. Jack and his friends went inside

the house.

Jack: Let’s have a good sleep! (Он задувает лампу и все ложатся спать).

(В это время появляются разбойники, они несут мешки и исполняют песню на мелодию «Не желаем жить по—другому…»).

Walking we around,

Walking we around,

Walking we around the country.

Chief-robber: You have to go back and see if everything is all right.

(Разбойники на цыпочках идут к дому. Первый натыкается на кота, кот царапает его. Второй разбойник попадает на собаку, которая кусает его. Третий разбойник попадает на козла, который бодает его. Он в сторону, но тут корова бьет его копытами. И петух кричит: “Throw him up to me! Throw him up to me!” Разбойники возвращаются к атаманше).

1^st robber: Don’t send me again! It’s a dreadful place! An old woman stuck her knitting- needles into me.

2^nd robber: An old man stuck his pincers into me.

3^rd robber: And an old woman with a sweeping-brush knocked me right down. Then a man hit me on the

head with his axe.

1^st robber: But the worst one of all was a dreadful little old man who shouted “Throw him up to me!”

2^nd robber: We didn’t want to be thrown up to him, so we ran fight out of the house.

Chief-robber: Yes, it’s really dreadful place. We’ll never go there again.

Author: So the robbers never went there again. And Jack and his friends stayed in the house as long as they

liked.

(Затем все вместе исполняют заключительную песню на мелодию из мультфильма «Бременские музыканты» «Ничего на свете лучше нету…»).
