Урок английского языка в 5м классе.

Тема: Готовимся к ролевой игре по теме «Путешествие в Лондон».

Цели: 1.Совершенствовать навыки устной речи по теме «Лондон».

2.Развивать навыки диалогической речи.

3.Активизировать лексико-грамматические навыки в употреблении Present Simple, Present Progressive, Future Simple.

Оборудование: картинки по теме «Лондон».

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

-Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you.

Let’s begin our lesson.

-Look at the blackboard. What date is it today?

-What day of the week is it today?

-Do you like the weather today? И тд.

—ОК. Let’s start our work.

1.1 Well, What are we going to do at the lesson today?

-First, we repeat everything we have learned about London;

-Second, we make up dialogues;

-Third, we repeat Present, Future Simple and Present Progressive Tenses.

2. Фонетическая зарядка.

Listen and repeat after me:

Beautiful, museum, Europe, gallery, capital, famous, stadium, London, monument, coronation, popular, square.

3. Речевая разминка.

Let’s play the game “Agree or disagree”. Listen to my sentences, please. Repeat my sentence if you agree with me and correct it if you disagree with me.

-Trafalgar Square is in London.

-Moscow is the capital of UK.

-Moscow is different from London.

-You don’t want to visit Great Britain.

-There are a lot of places to visit in London.

— London is the famous city in Europe.

-There are no Art galleries in London.

-There are many museums, stadiums, squares, cinemas in London.

4.1. Тренировка навыков аудирования.

You can see the pictures of some places in London on the blackboard.

Can you name them? Listen to my stories and choose the right picture.

-It is very old. It has a long and cruel history. You can see it from the river Thames. It is not one building. (The Tower of London).

-It stands near the Houses of Parliament. It is really a bell. It is famous clock. It weighs 13’720 kilograms. (Big Ben).

— It is not far from the Houses of Parliament. It is a symbol of England. It was founded by St. Peter and built by King Edward. Some famous people are buried there. (Westminster Abbey).

— They stand beside the river Thames. You can also see them from Westminster Abbey. The country’s leaders speak at this place. The famous clock Big Ben stands near them. (The Houses of Parliament).

4.2.Актуализация навыков вопросно-ответной работы по содержанию изученного материала.

You have repeated the most famous sights of London. I am sure you can answer my questions.

-What is the name of the famous clock in London? (Its name is Big Ben).

-Where does the Big Ben stand? (Big Ben stands near the Houses of Parliament).

-How often can you hear Big Ben? (You can hear Big Ben every hour).

-Where do the Houses of Parliament stand? (They stand beside the river Thames).

-Who founded the Westminster Abbey? (St. Peter founded Westminster Abbey).

-Where does the Queen stay when she is in London? (She stays in Buckingham Palace).

-Where does the coronation of all British Kings and Queens take place? (It takes place in Westminster Abbey).

-What places in London do you like to visit?

4.3. Обучение монологическому высказыванию.

Well, I’d like you to open your Activity books and find ex.22. page 33.

Make up a story about London with the help of this exercise.

London is the capital of Great Britain. It is a very old city. It was founded about 2 thousand years ago. London is one of the most famous and interesting cities in Europe. There are lots of places to visit in London. There are a lot of museums, art galleries, cinemas, theatres and lovely parks in London.

5. Совершенствование навыков выразительного чтения и разыгрывания диалогов.

Today we shall learn to read the dialogues on the topic “London” artistically. Let’s

listen to three dialogues from ex.27, page 69. Repeat the dialogues after me. Now it’s your turn to read it.

5.1.Обучение учащихся диалогической речи по теме « Лондон».

Сan you use the words from the exercise 28 and make up dialogues?

Work in pairs and 4 minutes we shall listen to you.

Example:

— Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to the Houses of Parliament?

— Oh, it is not difficult. They are very famous and old buildings. Go along the street and it will lead you to this place.

— What other interesting places can I see in London?

— You can visit also Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. They are not far from the Houses of Parliament.
